Selene Alejandra Delgado is a model and beauty pageant titleholder from Venezuela. She was recently awarded the title of Miss Supranational Venezuela 2023. Delgado was born on June 19, 1996. In addition, she competed for Miranda in the Miss Venezuela 2021 pageant, where she ended up finishing as the fourth runner-up. At the Miss Supranational 2023 pageant, which will be held in Poland, Delgado will represent Venezuela.

During the competition for Miss and Mister Supranational Venezuela 2022, which took place on Thursday, June 9, at Junin Theater in Caracas, the winners were announced as Selene Delgado, Jorge Eduardo Nez, and Ismelys Velasquez. The event was held on June 9 with 24 candidates.

Jorge Eduardo Nez, a 24-year-old civil engineer and fitness athlete who competed in Mr. World in 2015, was crowned Mister Supranational Venezuela in 2022. Nez also competed in Mr. World in 2015.

Ismelys Velasquez was chosen to be the national organization’s representative for the Miss Supranational 2022 competition, which took place in Poland in July as well.

Pageantry is not unfamiliar territory for the model and student of international studies, who is 22 years old. She had previously held the titles of Reina Internacional del Café 2022 and Miss Mesoamérica International 2021 in addition to her victory as Miss La Guaira 2020.

The interview with Selene Delgado

Interviewer: How would you characterize yourself as a person in your own words?

SD: Empathy is one of my most distinguishing traits, and I believe it ought to be a fundamental human value. In order for us to progress, each of us ought to conduct ourselves with dignity and strive for personal growth on a daily basis.

Interviewer: Mention and elaborate on three aspects of your personality that set you apart from others.

SD: Always put on a smile; ever since I was a kid, I’ve had the firm belief that we have the power to brighten someone else’s day by doing something as simple as flashing a smile at them.

Sincerity is a fundamental value that, in my opinion, has diminished in significance over the years. Because of the education, I received at home, the upbringing I received, and the example of two courageous women in my life, I have always possessed the quality of courage. These women were able to rise to any challenge that life threw at them and do so in an admirable manner.

Interviewer: What are some of your goals for the near future, the medium term, and the long term?

SD: To summarize, I want to perform admirably throughout my time as Miss Venezuela. Getting into the hearts of Venezuelans and being able to give them a sense of pride and happiness by representing them internationally and elevating the reputation of my country is one of my goals.

I am concentrating on my studies, developing my career, and continuing to develop as a person, in all aspects of my being, including my body, my mind, and my spirit. I believe that the only way for a person to make progress is to educate themselves and cultivate their thoughts to flourish throughout their lives. This is the only way, in my opinion, that a person can advance.

Long Term: When I picture myself in the future, I see myself as a successful entrepreneur who changes the world by leading by example and inspiring others.

Interviewer: What values ​​guide your actions?

SD: Respect, faith, and humility are all essential.

Interviewer: What are some of the things that drive you?

SD: My mother is a significant source of inspiration for me. Because of her, I was able to triumph over the difficulties that life presented to me, and now I am able to look back on those experiences with gratitude and the knowledge that I gained from them. As a result, there is no “I can’t” that can serve as an answer for me because I have demonstrated to myself that if I can, I am capable and that success is achieved when one is aware of who they are as an individual.

Interviewer: What is your go-to topic of conversation, and can you explain why you like it so much?

SD: female empowerment. My upbringing in a society in which, despite advances, there are still so many limitations for us, as well as my familiarity with various realities pertaining to this issue in new frontiers, instilled in me the motivation and the desire to fight so that our voice can be heard.

Interviewer: What do you believe to be the single most important thing that it is our responsibility to instill in the minds of our nation’s young women and men?

SD: I would like to demonstrate to the young women and people of our society that we all have the same capabilities as anyone else, and I would also like to tell you that we all have the same capabilities as anyone else, so please do not let anyone make you question your value or what you are capable of doing.
